InLab has conducted interdisciplinary research since 2008, producing novel findings that inform science, policy, industry and educational practice.

Generating knowledge

Our research is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of understanding individual differences, including in educational and occupational trajectories, creativity, cognition, perception, motivation, attitudes, relationships and wellbeing. To address our research questions, we use a range of scientific methods, including:
• experimental psychology
• cross-cultural research
• epidemiology
• neuroscience
• behavioural genetics
• interdisciplinary approaches

Applying knowledge

Our work is also dedicated to practical applications of scientific insights. We work with many partners, including:
• genomics-based businesses – developing new products and services
• law firms – developing genomics legal services and bringing psychological insights to justice contexts
• schools – raising genomics literacy; developing educational methods and tools
• art curators – exploring applications of psychology of perception in curatorial work
• policy makers – ensuring that scientific advances are used ethically and beneficially for all
